I am offering for sale the offspring of my A. Percula picasso clownfish pair.
There are four groupings that I sort them into;
- grade A
- grade B
- grade C (normal striped/misbars)
- and Snowcasso®
This grading system is skewed at best and only offers an idea of the number of stripes that are connected. MANY grade B's are much nicer than most A's. Each fish should be viewed for their patterns and not the 'grade'. The 'grade' is NOT a method to determine which is best. Each fish is priced for the amount of white they have and the pattern it has. Some grade B's could have more white and nicer patterns that an A. The more white, helmet, cool patterning, etc. determines the price. Evenstill, it is difficult as each fish is totally different.
They are only 4-6 months and are all still small at 1 to 1.5" long. They will continue to develop the black coloration for the next year or so and possibly the white as well.
Quarantine! My fish are disease free but quarantining is always a great idea. It will allow your fish to acclimate to its new home and foods. You will also be better able to determine if it is eating well. The fish that I send are around 1-1.5" which is small. If you do not have the proper set up for a small fish, please refrain from buying them. They can slip through openings larger fish can't or can get blown around by strong powerheads/pumps found in many reef tanks. The above recommendations are very important and should not be ignored. Following the guidelines above will help ensure your new acquisition the best chance for a stress free introduction and a strong start with its new family. Pricing?? $15 for one 'normal striped' or 'misbars' $50 (and up) for one grade "B" Picasso - either no stripes connected OR only ONE side that has connected stripes $100 (and up) for one grade "A" Picasso - one of the three stripes connecting on BOTH sides of the fish $200 and up* for one Snowcasso® pattern - extreme white markings to an extent that the majority of coloration is white
Shipping is $50 additional and includes UPS Next Day Air within the Continental US (delivered by 10:30am most areas), insulated box, and heat/ice packs as needed.
IMPORTANT NOTE When receiving these picassos that have endured a long transport (overnight service) please keep the following in mind: They have been in the pitch black dark for at least 12 hours and probably closer to 18 hours. When you open the box, PLEASE do so under dim lighting so they can acclimate to the light. When acclimating them, turn off the tank lights for a few hours. Removing them in bright light or holding the bag up to a light to look inside is very stressful. Never acclimate while they are in the Kordon Breathing bags. Doing so can suffocate them. Remove the fish to another bag or container during acclimation.
NOTE: I prefer to ship via UPS for all of my shipping needs. However, FedExpress may be requested ONLY for business addresses and "HOLD AT LOCATION" shipments. This is due to FedExpress' contract guidelines that prohibit shipping live fish to residential addresses.
I know many businesses break that rule but I choose not too.
